I fell in love with Virtuelvis’s rounded corners and cool quote marks, but I didn’t want to waste them on a few blockquotes here and there, you know?
So I was just wondering… if you can see them at all [and you can't with IE, so don't even bother], do the quote marks around each [...]

Rounded Corners in CSS - Virtuelvis:
Rounded corners in CSS has become sort of a holy grail. The problem with most of the rounded corner techniques is that they require alteration of the HTML document itself, which means that retrofitting it onto an existing design may require a lot of effort.
However, there is a solution that [...]

Update: never mind. I was using “#eee” and “#fff” for the cell colors. Apparently, IE insists on all six “e’s” and “f’s”. All fixed. Phew.
I just looked at this site in Internet Explorer and was horrified to see what IE does to my calendar:
Those little black boxes are supposed to be white! They look fine [...]

I’m thoroughly sick of the lack of color around this place. Time to get busy and design something! Not to mention the embarrassment when people come here and see I’m so lazy that I’m using MT’s default templates. Here’s a great page of color palettes for ideas.

I made two apple pies from scratch last night. I have a lot to learn, apparently. The juice from the apples, mixed with brown sugar, lemon and cinnamon, was still runny when the lattice crust was done, so I thought maybe I shouldn’t have poured it over the apple slices in the first place. I [...]

“Do you know, dolphins spend something like 90% of their time just PLAYING? Not building or cleaning or for God’s sake FILING anything, just swimming around, riding waves and doing flips in the air. And no one calls them lazy, or unproductive. Now you tell me which is the more intelligent species.”
I’ve been thinking [...]

LOTR: The Return of the King (Review): “Only if you’ve never seen a decent epic would you praise this overblown ‘Lord’”
I don’t care. I want to see it anyway, if only to watch Viggo wage war so attractively, and to see Gollum trip and fall. GOLLUM!

Killer Whale Dies of Pneumonia
“OSLO, Norway - Keiko, the killer whale made famous by the “Free Willy” movies, has died in Norwegian coastal waters where he remained after millions of dollars and a decade of work failed to coax him back to the open sea, his caretakers said early Saturday.”
Shit.
