I've been reading all about you and looking at your photos -- you are a wonderful portraitist, especially with kids. We have more in common than you think: 1. My grandmother was from Sweden and I grew up in Minnesota, the Land of Norwegian Bachelor Farmers. [Gramma tried to teach me Swedish when I was a kid but gave up in disgust. Same with cooking and knitting.] 2. Notice how both of us wound up in warmer climes -- but I do love to watch movies set in the frozen north, for some reason. 3. Acting: did I mention that I majored in drama in college and went to Hollywood to be a star? But then I remembered I was overweight and, if not ugly certainly not beautiful. Which resulted in a pathological fear of auditions. If only I had stuck with theater, I think I would have fulfilled all my creative instincts.
