Of course the agriculture industry can’t tolerate the notion that this personal gardening effort is to be conducted without chemicals. A letter of protest to that effect went to Michelle Obama. Sure, a family with children and a pet to protect, are completely unable to grow their own veggies without poisons. Organic gardening must be impossible after all. American industrial interests would never lie to us, would they?

In fact, I think I even cried just a bit. I even want to volunteer to go and weed the garden and help pick the vegetables. It’s just wonderful (with the exception that there are no beets!). No beets?!?! Obviously, Obama needs to have beets cooked by me!
