Civilization's last chance

Civilization’s last chance. Time is running out. Are you scared enough yet — to make real changes in your life? Don’t just change a light bulb, plant a garden. Take a bus. Ride a bike. Turn off that air conditioner. Stop coming up with reasons you CAN’T do something and start thinking about ways you CAN.

    Well said LaVonne!
Every day I try to look for something else, no matter how small, to make a difference. It took us years to get where we are today, and I need to remember that it will take time to get it fixed. :)

Are you still having a heat wave out your way?

By the way, you have been tagged at The Sustainable Backyard.

Yep, still hot and I’m a hypocrite. I turned on the AC for a few hours today and yesterday — not enough to be cool but definitely in the comfort zone. :o[ [Note to self: blog a confession asap.]

Thanks for thinking of me in your tagging efforts. I hope you will forgive me for not following through. I feel quite ambivalent about these things, having been a blogger for nearly eight years now. I was enthusiastic about them in the beginning because I loved making so many new friends–and I still do. But over time it’s become more of a chore, and feels an awful lot like those forwarded emails that urge you to forward them to ten friends [who you know don't want to get them either] or something terrible will happen.

I hope this doesn’t offend you, anajz. I know you’re extending a hand in friendship, and I am very grateful for that. I do feel that we are part of an exciting and even historic movement. I’m honored that you’ve chosen to visit and comment on Bornfamous.

    Warmest regards,
    LaVonne

No offense taken LaVonne. Thanks for responding.

About this blog

I'm not really famous. In case you were wondering. But I tried. I once believed that fame makes you real - a perversion of "The Velveteen Rabbit" theme that love makes you real. Guess I equated fame with love. Sad. You can read more about that here.
