I’m done

It should come as no surprise that I’ve completely lost interest in blogging, so I’m going to stop pretending that something’s going to change. Bornfamous is about to become history–knowing, of course, that as soon as I pull the plug I will change my mind.

Isn’t that always the way?

    Hello Again,

“Again? Who the hell is this? Do I owe him money?”, you may be thinking and the answer is no. At least I don’t think you do. There was a time when I asked the internet world for a dollar-a-head just to see if anyone would respond. They did. So, if you offered a up a buck and didn’t pay, yeah – you owe me.

I for one will be sorry to see you pull the plug. I do not check in often enough and leave no sign of having been here when I do so my sorrow should be of little sway in your choice.

I understand your choice very well. My own sites evolved into something less than fun and more like work. I let Wander-Lust go first, Technoerotica went down shortly after, owing to a server crash combined with only tepid motivation to recreate and/or reanimate the site.

My regrets are never having worked to together on the few tawdry projects I proposed (I did propose –right?).

I like your work Lavonne. I always have and always will.

So –should you ride off into that great sunset may the load be light and the memories be sweet. There will always be a new rodeo.

    Cheers,
    Rick Schrager

Funny you should mention it, Rick. I was just finishing up a new post because somehow I just can’t pull the plug, pathetic as things are around here.

Where have you been? Why don’t you have a web site any more? I miss you! And yes, you did propose a project or two. Did any of them pan out?

You just reminded me of my reason for thinking of ending it all, blog-wise: I miss all my old friends. Where did they go?

About this blog

I'm not really famous. In case you were wondering. But I tried. I once believed that fame makes you real - a perversion of "The Velveteen Rabbit" theme that love makes you real. Guess I equated fame with love. Sad. You can read more about that here.
