I know recently you were talking about learning how to cook better and using your veggies… You can do it. Make things that you remember. Search out recipes on the web - there are lots of good sources, some with photos and instruction. I recently found Julia Child videos on the web - and totally GOT what they were talking about in dealing with really wet doughs. Ah HA!
But try. I like to watch cooking shows too on TV just for inspiration. Some of the shows do focus on real people food too.
I’ll tell you that soon-to-be ex was totally about eating out and it’s great now to want to come home and eat my own cooking, no matter how simple. A few olives and a bit of cheese, or a little pasta with some sauce. Breakfast at home — that smell of coffee when you open the cannister. The food is so much better, the satisfaction is great. I don’t have a lot of money right now and I consider it both comforting and somewhat luxurious that I can buy simple ingredients and make wonderful things to eat.
