23 Jul 2004Well, now I feel better.
I’d been thinking that I really should get on the stick and try to drum up some traffic, since I’ve treated this poor blog so badly during the past two years and allowed it to disappear from the blogscape–except for a very few dedicated readers. But I kinda like the privacy, you know?
And now, Mena Trott of MovableType fame confirms that I’m still on the cutting edge of blogdom with this speech she gave in Vienna: Mena’s Corner: Blogs, Bandwidth and Banjos: Tightly knit bonds in weblogging.
For instance, did you know that 10% of all blogs are password-protected? And I was just thinking of doing that. Actually, I only want to protect the chapters of Dotty’s Diner so I don’t have to worry about problems if/when I get around to trying to publish it. Mena mentions that it’s possible to do that with some software. Wonder if that includes MT3.
Maybe I should read the documentation before I give up on it completely.
I'm not really famous. In case you were wondering. But I tried. I once believed that fame makes you real - a perversion of "The Velveteen Rabbit" theme that love makes you real. Guess I equated fame with love. Sad. You can read more about that here.
