Not good
It’s Day 3 and I have less than 600 words of my novel written. Not good. My plan was to write 2500 words a day for 20 days and be done with it, or at least have a built in cushion for the days when nothing comes. Well, those days are now and the cushion has yet to be built.
Also, I was planning to post the chapters here, but I changed my mind. Not that it’s going to be good enough to publish but just in case, I don’t want to screw up my chances. So there’s no real point in having a separate blog for it. Might as well do my whining right here where you can sympathize, commiserate or throw up your hands in disgust, whichever.
Meanwhile, I am feeling singularly uninspired.

It’s not always exciting, is it. Nope. Sometimes it’s hard and I suppose that’s why they call it “work”. Right now I’m cutting small squares from strips of fabric. Only the future pleasure keeps me cutting. It’s all a part of the whole. Likewise small numbers of words every day add up quick.
what a great analogy! ok, i will try to think of this book as a patchwork quilt and see if that helps. what has been stopping me so far has been a compulsion to start at the beginning and go all the way to the end. when i get stuck, i need to give myself permission to work on another piece of the “quilt”.
I am hoping that by now you’re writing up a storm…or at the very least feeling more inspired. I believe that you have very wonderful things to say. Don’t worry about the order or it making sense. Just say it. You can figure out what goes where later.
Sigh. Haven’t written another word, nor am I inspired in the least. Funny how Nanowrimo clicks my writing switch OFF every year. Maybe I should stop signing up and just write. But thanks for the encouragement. :o]
