Barb Rubin points out that spraying for mosquitos doesn’t have to kill us too:

“Sprays made of garlic, mint oil and other essential oils will kill or repel these bugs. Why poison ourselves while making pesticide manufacturers wealthy? If we insist upon non-toxic solutions and refuse to purchase the dangerous ones, the marketplace will begin to reflect our interest in our own survival as a species. After all, if the bugs could be eradicated by poisons, they would be long gone by now…”
