“I was sickedned by nuts!!! Nuts are evil. I’m going to write complaint letters so that nuts will be taken off the market. That way nut lovers worldwide will be deprived of them. But why stop there? Why not outlaw cats and dogs while I’m at it?? After all, I became sick with sneezing fits when I was around them.”
Hello!?! Being “sickened” is obviously the result of an allergic reaction to Quorn! Quorn is NOT evil!!!! Visit my website.

Sorry that link was mis-coded so you couldn’t go read the article. I’ve fixed it now.

In it, I think the following information is very pertinent:

“CSPI also told the FDA of a telephone survey it had commissioned of 1,000 British consumers which found that almost 5 percent of people who had eaten Quorn products experienced vomiting, hives, or other symptoms. That percentage is higher than the percentage of consumers allergic to peanuts, dairy, and other major food allergens–and much higher than the adverse-reaction rate (1 out of 146,000) claimed by Quorn?s maker, U.K.-based Marlow Foods.”

Notice that those statistics belong to the CSPI’. I’ve read up on the subject, believe me, and there have been no complaints to any other health organizations. This “reseach” was also conducted by the CSPI(might as well ignore all other research done on Quorn, when one can simply read the studies carried out by the omni-potent CSPI), and strangely, all of the alleged complaints were reported only to the CSPI. Sounds fishy to me… Are you a member?

I second and third those sentiments. In fact, I quit the organization becuase of its ridiculous Quorn-related campaign. To hell with the CSPI! Check out Jen Robinson’s hilarious site.

About this blog

I'm not really famous. In case you were wondering. But I tried. I once believed that fame makes you real - a perversion of "The Velveteen Rabbit" theme that love makes you real. Guess I equated fame with love. Sad. You can read more about that here.
